Cowgatha (2018)
Maia DeCamillo is an Artist, Filmmaker, Actor and Writer.

Maia studied at Central Saint Martins and works across the arts and film world.
​
Her work has been featured on arts platform ShowStudio, shortlisted for the 2018 Vault New Writing Award, and showcased as part of the 2021 London Design Biennale at Somerset House. Talk To Me (2021), a short film written and directed by Maia, received an honourable mention from the Tokyo International Short Film Festival.
​
As an Actor for over 10 years, Maia has been part of theatre, independent film and television productions. She has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and worked with the BBC and BFI, as well as on commercial projects and music videos.
​
Maia established her production company, WallsComeDown, in 2020, as an experimental platform and incubator for creative projects spanning film, live performance and immersive events.
​
Cutting Remarks is an ongoing project of collage work. Created with salvaged imagery and repurposed materials, the series engages with the elements of character and narrative that run throughout Maia’s work. Her piece Let Me Get Back On Your Wavelength (2017) was exhibited at Tate Britain in 2022.
